Victorian Style Wedding Gown

Wedding Gown
By...HandMade - No Tags
Vintage late 60's - late 70's
Small - Medium?
Ivory & White
Excellent - Mint Condition

This bridal gown I believe is from the late 1960's to perhaps the late 70's maybe even older and I'm very close to saying it's hand made at home. It has an elegant Victorian style and if your planning a Vintage/Victorian wedding then this could be what your looking for. Color is Ivory with lots of white lace trim throughout gown. It has a high stand up collar designed that matches throughout the entire gown....of embroidery and lace. The embroidery is ivory as is most of the gown and the lace is white and I see it at the end of the item, whether it be at the wrist or hem or the bid, I think you get the picture on the lace trim. Gosh I do'nt know where to begin....here goes.... The sleeves are sheer then at wrist is the ivory and then the white lace with 4 beautifully covered buttons. The bib flows into a "V" design that can be lifted and you will see sheer chiffon from shoulder to bust then lining from there down to hem. At the bib is same design in the back except back has full length plastic zipper but metal tongue from shoulder to past the waist to the bootie. The bib also has 16 individually covered buttons that are each sewn seperately down the back. Gown has several rows of pretty wide lace trim that also accents the waist like a belt but it's attached and you close with a hook that runs over the zipper area in the back. The front of gown falls just to the floor on my model but the back flows lovely along the floor by several feet and this is a gorgeous gown with it's super wide flaired hem. There is no train for this gown but wait till I tell you about the Veil you will see why no train. I ca'nt see this gown with a wide hoop slip but I believe it would be pretty with one or without. Gown has been dry cleaned however, I do'nt know if it's been heirloomed. I would recommend having it cleaned once again even though it smells good and I do not see any stains. But it does need a good pressing before any beautiful lady decides to wear it. I would press it but I do'nt have the special equipment to do so.

Note: I thought I saw where at the hem there was about 2" seperation from the lace but I ca'nt find it.

Measurements...
Bust = 34"
Waist = 24-25"
Shoulder to Waist = "
Hip = very full
Waist down - Hem = 44"
Waist to end of train = 42" or so more
Wide Sweep = 100-150"

Wedding Veil

Wedding Veil
By...House of Bianchi
of Boston/New York
Vintage late 60's - late 70's
Ivory - White
Excellent - Mint Condition

This veil is made to fit the top of crown of your head. Has a gorgeous bow design at back but entire veil embroidery & lace matches the gown entirely. I believe the dress was made to match the veil but I could be wrong about it. the gown does not have a train but the netting also serves as a train because it flows past the back of gown. Crown of veil has one comb at top front to hold in your hair.

Note: The only flaw I see in this entire set is a 2" rip/tear down the back of veil which is easily seen but I suggest one cut the netting just above the tear. It will still be long and then will be in perfect - Mint condition. Other than the tear I see no flaws in Veil.
