Vintage Slippers~Daniel Green

Gorgeous slide style slippers from Daniel Green. Slippers are metallic gold, copper and silver with a silver 2" wedge heel and creamy insole. Labeled a size 9 AA - but runs a bit small/narrow. Measures 10" in length and 3 1/4" across widest point (ball.)

Amazing slip-on scuff-style slippers have open backs and closed toes. Made of a sort of hardanger-type black woven cotton outer with lovely petitpoint florals in shades of pink and burgundy with green leaves and stems accenting that rather esemble rubrum lilies. Interior of slippers is lined with a white cotton, inside footbeds appear to be a toasty beige oilcloth over a padded interior that provides a little substance to the sole. Slipper soles are a golden suede with no wear and showing only a numer, "40" and a number "360-1" stamped in ink along with a little adhesive residue from a sticker pulled off the suede. These pretty slippers appear to be a modern ladie's size 8 but, again, do check the actual measurements in making your determination. A great vintage find!! |

Beaded Vintage Slippers

Wonderful vintage slippers were likely purchased as a souvenir while on vacation and put away, never to be worn. This pair of slippers, no doubt, caught someone's eye because all the work was already done for her. Made of a lame'-type bright yellow fabric with a tone-on-tone design, each slipper has sequins with beads atop to secure and fun colorful seed beading flowers and vines/stems/leaves. I bought these from a eBay sellers who said this came from an estate sale. The bulk of items in this sale were from the 1940's through the early 60's. Patent soles have some dense padding sandwiched in between sole and footbed liner, giving them some substance. Pretty contrasting red cross-stitching all around the perimeter of the tops is icing on the cake. You'll LOVE these! |
